    This post was right on!!!!

I so agree with you on every single thing. I too feel that my dad left at a point where I wasn’t through with that developmental period (prior to that “completion,” as you put it, into my full evolution into womanhood). In retrospect, he left at a very precarious time in my adolescence and it subsequently affected my adult dating life.

And ditto @ “never too late to start counseling…. we all could stand to lay on someone’s couch” Amen to that. (Haha, I swear I’m not biased).

    @ Shannon – thank you!

@ Yaki – There are so many lessons that I had to learn on my own, lessons that my daddy should have been there to see me through. My life would be COMPLETELY different if he were still alive. COMPLETELY.

you know I was thinking about you when I mentioned that some of my friends “counsel” by profession!

Jay’s child therapists sessions have been so instrumental to him feeling comfortable with himself and expressing his feelings.

That was deep when you said that Jordan wouldn’t be here were your dad alive. I know exactly what you meant by that.

I love and appreciate your candor so much.

And as much as I love Jordan…I mean, he’s my heart, my ace ….It’s the gods honest truth. I have a laundry list of things that simply would not have gone down if daddy were still here.

I hear you! And likewise…. there were many, MANY life-altering decisions I’d have made differently had my dad been in the house.
