I made something similar but I was tryign to make sticky hot wings…and well..it was ok. BUT I am with you on the rice thing! I ALWAYS burn it..it always sticks…so I have to use Instant 5 minute rice (Yeah..I cant even do the in the bag one either! LMAO!)

The secret to Grits: Heavy cream and a strong arm. You gotta whip and whip to make them light and fluff..you cant keep them unattended. (LOL) We’ll work on that!

Ditto @ Tati and not getting into the vampire thing. So weird, because when I was younger I was super into the Ann Rice novels, like Interview With a Vampire and so forth. But now it just doesnt light my fire. I wonder if maybe I have to try out one of the movies today…..

Gosh, you’re such a gourmet chef! I cant remember the last time I made an involved, delish recipe like that. I wish I had the energy these days – yum!!!

Thanks for the olive oil spray bottle after-shower tip. Thats such a good idea. I like the makeup-remover idea too, but I’m gonna stick to Vaseline w/that one…. EVOO is way too expensive to be using for that purpose (LOL!!!!)

Random: That top is so cute. I wish I could see the whole outfit…. is it a pantsuit, a dress, just a shirt? (lol)

OMG I LOOOOVVE True Blood and the Twilight series! You two are missing out!

I’m going to do a ton of recipes, tomorrow is bbq chicken, collards and 3 cheese macaroni.

You’re right about how expensive EVOO is, i caught a hella good sale though. I can’t help it – it’s the only thing that works for me.

Tati – I’m going to email you for some of your recipes too

I can’t get down with Twilight, but me and True Blood have been BFF since season 1. I hope you do a blog about this Sunday’s episode.

  6. Yakini says:

Do you have a good recipe for ribs? I’d love to see a vlog of that in the future.

  7. Antonina says:

    Hey girl!

Is that a dress you have on or a top? It’s really cute!

LOL!!! I don’t eat grits! But, I’m from Milwaukee and up there my family eat grits with sugar in butter. I had never heard of people eating grits with salt & pepper until I moved to the south. My grandparents were born in the south but migrated to the Midwest and I guess they adopted that northern way of cooking grits.

    That chicken looks so good!

Antonina, my family is from the south (Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana) and we also eats greats with sugar and butter. A lady from Ohio introduced me to savory grits with cheese. I haven’t been bold enough to try them.

  9. Kalee says:

The key to good grits is to replace half of the water with milk.

Oh yeah E, you dont have to add any additional seasoning next time you make it.I am glad you like the recipe!

  10. nabs says:

you are REALLY, REALLY wack for not reading the books!!! they are sooo good! i am totally a twihard, and proud of it, lol!!! glad to know that i am in welcome company.

lol @ u admitting that was ur second plate, hahahah!!

i just recently acquired my girl’s recipe for chicken, cheese, and broccoli casserole, and it was soooo good!!!! i had originally had it at her baby shower. u being a master chef may already know how to make one (it wasn’t difficult at all), but holla at me if u want to know how to make it.

  11. Eboni says:

You know I was joking with some co-workers the other day about “casseroles”. You have to send me a recipe and I’ll see if I can de-construct it, I dunno why – but I’m not a fan of putting a whole bunch of stuff in a baking dish and eating it like that lol. Casseroles remind me of pot pies, and I HATED pot pies growing up!

I’m adding the series to my reading list for the year just because of you! Calling me out like that *smh*

  12. nabs says:

lmao @ deconstructing it. u wont need the recipe then. you can make the ingredients seperately on their own….rice, chicken, broccoli with cheese…burst.

  13. Eboni says:

Nabs don’t be “burstin” me! lmao! It may have been something special/different (but really…there aren’t too many ways to get special offa chicken, rice, broccoli and cheese! lol).

I’m remixing chicken and waffles this weekend – in honor of Cali 2005 & Roscoe’s
